Description
An Oyster 53, CONTINGENCY is a time-proven model introduced in 1999 that is still in production today. Quoting SAIL magazine, “As with all Oysters, the feeling is refined, subdued, and elegant.” Sailing on an Oyster 53 is “similar to riding first class on a British train, it’s smooth, quiet and goes along without a fuss.” The cockpit’s folding bimini allows the choice of sun or shade while a cushioned area aft of the helm beckons serious sun bathers. The interior is surprisingly roomy with a walk around queen master aft and very spacious main salon with two seating areas, well-lit by large wrap-around ports. Two cabins forward – one double and one with upper/lower singles - have individual access to the shared forward head and shower.
